Turtle reserve
What you will do: Arriving at Ras al Hadd by early evening we relax and enjoy dinner before driving the short distance to the turtle reserve around 9pm. Here we head for the beach with our guide to watch female turtles come ashore to dig their holes and lay their eggs. If we’re lucky we’ll also get a batch of hatchling burrow their way through the sand, reaching the surface they head for the sea by the light of the moon. For early risers we make our way back to the beach to see the last of the baby turtles arrive, then it’s back to Muscat via the coast road.

Times:
- Hotel pick-up at 1pm (flexible to suit guests)
- Hotel drop-off by 4pm the following day
What to bring/wear:
- Overnight bag
- Suncream, sunglasses, hat
